The production of the school paper, The Legend, is part of the Journalism 2 class and involves students interested in news, photography, advertising and page design. Students learn to plan issues, write stories, take pictures, sell advertising and sell the paper at publication time. Students often spend time after school in production. Students are also responsible for the Senior Edition. Open to students interested in exploring journalism as a career option. The Legend has been named an outstanding newspaper in the state of Michigan and the Great Lakes area. It has also received first class rankings nationally.
