Volunteer Program
Parents,
Volunteers play a vital role is a school's success. This year WWPS is excited to implement a formal Volunteer Program. Our goal is to insure that every school is supported with regular attending volunteers to support instructional needs.
What is a Volunteer Program and how will our school benefit?
A formal "Volunteer Program" is organized to insure that all buildings are supported by volunteers. Teachers and support staff are given the extra assistance necessary to provide the highest level of education for all children. Volunteers may either choose to be partnered with a classroom teacher to assist his/her needs, help in the lunchroom, or work as a general volunteer.
What is the time commitment?
A volunteer's time is valuable and beneficial. Volunteers are needed for support in the lunchroom (daily), monthly events, etc. Any amount of time you can commit is beneficial!
How do I become a volunteer?
All volunteers must complete a registration form (below) and criminal records check. Once these steps are completed volunteers will receive notification of available volunteer opportunities.
What are the expectations once I arrive?
All volunteers will be asked to sign-in at the front office upon arrival (Volunteer Sign-In Sheet), record volunteer hours, and wear a volunteer badge. It is important that all volunteers understand the importance of being dependable and punctual. If you are unable to make your scheduled time, please contact the front office.
We greatly appreciate your willingness and eagerness to volunteer at WWPS. We look forward to a great year!!
